Hi there,

I use a us-122 through a Toshiba laptop Pentium III, 1000mhz, 256MB.

The us-122 has dropouts, timing problems, which occur after about 20
seconds after I start a song (system overload indicator of Cubase
flashes). That happens with only 3 tracks audio and 3 VST-Instruments
running. Different buffersizes etc. wonīt help. If I switch to the
internal soundcard of my laptop everything works fine.

Does anyone have a similar problem/suggestions?

Hi Stefan,
you say ''only 3 VSTis'' but it is easy to bring ANY computer down on it's
knees with VSTi's (depends which ones of course) and 3 is quite a
lot....first try audio tracks only, than switch on 1 VSTi etc....see what
happens.

Macmod

Thanks for your reply Bob,

in the meantime I have noticed, that itīs not even possible to play a
CD through the US-122 without dropouts etc. The internal soundcard
works fine, I guess thereīs a problem with USB or maybe the US-122
just doesnīt work with my setup.

Stephan, what OS are you running? I believe there are
problems with USB audio and older Win versions. I know my
Win98SE system is problematic with the US-122 (and another
inexpensive USB box I tried once) whereas my iBook with OS X
has no problems at all.

Hi Bob,

I solved the problem: I had to update my Version of Windows XP!

Strange ey?

Thanks for your help.
