(*.bmp) or (*.gif)?????!!!

Used to be I could "right click/save as" on an animated icon(animated gif's) Now when I do this a bmp extension is automatically assigned to the pic - which doesn't allow me to do what I want. In fact, EVERY animated picture I attempt to download (right click/save as) from any buddy icon site is saved as .bmp...no choice. I have already tried to "right click/save as.." then did filename.gif but it didnt show up as an animation.. Any ideas???


i have windows XP? i dont know if thats my problem or what, but this is strange!! please help me! thanks:(

its a board issue here.... save the entire page to a folder and you'll get the gif that you need

thanks that works!! woo hoo but does anyone know of a faster way to only save one animated icon? in the meantime ill just save the whole page
