My only disclaimers on these are: that you know what happens when you
compress live sound down through the microphone of a camcorder - low end is
gone, toms and snare sound like crap, vocals are brought out excessively,
etc. Secondly, the camera operator did the old "it was on when I thought it
was off, and off when I thought it was on" so I don't even have full songs.

MPEG's can played on all OS's, whereas WMV files are Microsloth dependent.

well, what do you know...you're right! (ten RPM installs later.... :-)
thanks for the tip; I never knew that and I've wanted a linux WMV player
for awhile now. if there just existed a quicktime player, I could die
happy (because I'd basically never have to switch to windows again)!
