So can i get a straightforward answer on this please?
I don't have a DCC tape to compare to a regular chrome tape.
Can someone PLEASE give me possibly a link to a website with a
tutorial (and possibly pics) for doing this?
Or if someone can reffer me to a picture of a modified tape, even
better!

So you have a DCC recorder with NO tapes at all?
You might be able to look and see where the feeler gadget at the top of
the tape is.

I doubt such a thing exists. Get a DCC tape and you'll find it is pretty
obvious to see where the sensor notch is.

Nearly ten years ago there was a discussion in Stereophile of doing it, probably
with pictures. They decided it was a bad idea.

XWindows DUUUDE: you will NEVER get a straight answer from this Dorsey
guy. He appears all patient and cooperative and all, BUT it's just a
ploy:
I have been asking him for years now how to modify my 8-track
cartridges to read the 18-minute gap from an Echoplex and it's just
DELAY DELAY DELAY.
You should try another newsgroup. Quickly.
