for some reason, this software just refuses.
If youre still interested, my uber-laptop, maxed out on everything is fine, so
I try to install Cakewalk Music Creator 2003.
On install it says DirectX 8.1 not detected, then says it will install it, and
prompt me to restart.
Instead, it installs 8.1, or at least says it does, as a 'DirectX was
sucessfully installed' pops up, I click OK, and no prompt to restart. Fine,
I'll just hit Install anyway, and again, I get the 'not detected, message for
DirectX.
No biggie; I'll just pop over to microsoft and download it. Done. Yep, asks to
restart. Done. Go to Install Music Creator again, and same 'DirectX not
detected'
It wont let me bypass this, it only gives a 'back' and a 'cancel'
I feel like the ape in 2001 just writing this. What insanely easy thing am I
missing here, before I accuse these guys of making a confusing Install??
If you got this far, WOW, and thanx and any Help would be great.
