hey im having a problem and im hoping someone here can help me. lately after a while being online, when im on any website or even in my email inbox, any link i click on leads to porn sites. is it caused by spyware?...when i looked on the net, spywares usually install dialers or generate pop ups. this only happens when i click on any link on any website. so i usually close my IE browser and it's fine for a while after that.
thanks.

Download Ad-Aware from the following link and set it for a complete scan after installing it: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
Also: Some porn ads have a Remove From Database link on the bottom. They have worked successfully for me in the past. In fact, I have not had a piece of spam literally for months.

i agree! the Lavasoft scan thingy works like a charm!
But we have a computer with windows 95 in the on air studio. and the Lavasoft program doesnt even open correctly on that machine.

Several programs no longer support Windows 95. Windows 98 Upgrade CDs are still available in some independent computer stores (at least in California), but you will most likely have to request it personally.

Another good program for removing spyware is spybot search & destroy which is from a german univesity website. Does an excellent job and can lock the IE explorer home page to stop hijacking by porn sites etc. This URL tells you all about various spyware, adware and even some classed as trojans!

Spybot is the best thing ever. If you really want to clean your system, get both Adaware and Spybot...sometimes one finds thing the other doesnt. But I prefer Spybot since there's some weird hangtime with Adaware on my comp.
Spybot will work on Win95 if you install a couple of DLL files.

Those ubiquitous porn sites will drive you mad!
And they pop regardless what you are lookin' for and sometimes so fast you can't click them fast enough... bastards. ...and not to mention when you search for something entirely unrelated all these porn sites come up...
I like the Lavasoft and there's another Porn Scan or something that removes porn and all traces of it (PowerScan!)...

The quickest way I can close the windows is by a quick right-hand motion to Alt+F4.

Use Ad-Aware. Make sure you hit the check for updates link every week or so to freshen up your reference file data.

A free dl is 'CT cookie spy' from download.com or wherever .........it lists all cookies .......... so ones you know you can keep like mbuddy for passwords et al , and the rest you can turf.
also 'pop-up stopper' has an integrated browser feature that zaps them b4 they open unless you hold down the shift key and want it to load ....... very useful in my house
