Popups ?

Are you concerned about popups on this site? Currently we have it set so that you should receive only one in a three day period on the message board pages (assuming you accept cookies, you don't delete them, etc) If you are finding popups annoying, or getting more then one every three days from this site, please post here so we can remedy your problem and find a solution ;)

nah i haven't had probs with pop-ups so far ...
if i did it didn't catch my attention what so ever , as in yeah i did see the pop-up but didn't bother me :)

Don't mind the pop-ups. Got the Google toolbar pop-up blocker.

the google toolbar works wonders... ive had it for about a month and just noticed its blocked about 8000+ popups.

Popups are an everday activity these dayz, it's how people like yourself manage to make to money to maintain your site, so people should expect them, or donate.

Simple really.

I honestly wouldn't know if you put up 1 popup or six hundred.

The simple fact remains that there are so many popups ON EVERY SITE that they've already become intolerable to me.

I just reinstalled windows, and the popups are unreal. Its almost as bad as when i inadvertently ended up with GATOR corp pop-up machine.

I don't think it's an effective avertising medium. I don't know anyone that has ever bought something because of a popup.

My new trick is to not close the windows, they don't pop up twice. :)

But yes I whole-heartedly agree that something needs to be done about these pop-ups. As someone who's tolerant of popups except for in large amounts, These qualify to me as malicious code. There's too much text to say here, but I hope if I can get it to tavenger he posts it or allows me to, because I'm sure all of you are having similar troubles with them.

The only thing worse to do with code is create a virus.

I've had no troubles with pop-ups thanks to Norton Internet Security 2003. It's a great program and recommend it to all users!

I use a pop up blocker and most of the time I don't even notice when it blocks popups!
