I saw it last night... And it was entertaining. Probably a better story that the first - but the first held the mystique of seeing That world in picture.... now that floating candles and baroque castles are commonplace they'll have to rely on the story.

go to the 9PM showing on a weeknight.... you'll escape the kiddos!

Ah, exactly what we're hoping to do :)

Oh, and yes, obviously my wife and I are excited about seeing the movie.

The local theatre is a vaudville style that's been renovated to have 4 smaller thearers - one on the flat by the proscenium, one on the raked area and two small ones flanking the original lobby. We saw the show with only a handful of adults in a room that seats maybe 200? I don't think the hype is as big - but beware!!! If schools recess for the entirety of next week (US) you may have missed your chance! Every parent of an 8 or above will be eying that 9PM showing!

I took my young neice to see it a few days ago and I thought it was great.

Yes the cinema was crowded but that didnt spoil it. My local cinema has 5 speaker dolby 5.1 surround sound system and the effects from the movie was fantastic.

It was too scary for some younger children in the audience in parts but overall was fantastic.

Anyone know if Harry Potter midi files are out anywhere yet?.

Best Regards

NigelWilliams

I have the first four books, and am also waiting for the next. The rumor is it is supposed to be out sometime soon. And there are actually supposed to be 7 years total. Anyway, I took my step-son who is almost 6 to see the movie. The other two were too little. He absolutely loved it--we went on opening night and that's all we have heard about since!! BTW--of course I enjoyed it too!!!

InfamousBlade: It has? I just red in my local newspaper that it is the most successful movie so far... Even the next lord of the rings movie is more or less like a minor picture in comparison in ticketsale...

I saw the 1st one...it wasn't bad...it was pretty good...But I think Lord of the Rings is much much better. It's the best! I can't wait for the second one to come out.

Yeah, I don't know how the second movie could have lost money considering how many shows were sold out around here! I had to get my tickets days before or I would have been wayyyy out of luck!

I have read all four books as well and I love them. I cant wait for the 5th book as it has been delayed for a while now. JK Rowling decided that she wanted to have kids (the delay for the book), boy does she need to get her priorities straight! Anyways, the secopnd movie was good. Better than the first to me. I was also Harry Potter for Halloween and my girlfriend was Hermione Grainger. Everyone loved it here in Madison!

Well, jeaniesing, you took words right out of my mouth - short, but it's the essence ;) :

".. the first held the mystique of seeing That world in picture.... now that floating candles and baroque castles are commonplace they'll have to rely on the story."

Very true.

I saw it only today (but it's only HPs fourth day here in Latvia). And I in spite of what else (who likes HP in general) said, I liked the first film better.

I suppose, the reason is very much, what jeaniesing said. The first visit in HP world for me was with the first movie. I started to like it bit by bit. Only then I bought the books. (Now I'm a HP fan.)

The first film I saw, when I didn't know much about HP. Then the movie discovered some new surprises, ideas, and caused (or unloosed?) new, interesting, exciting feelings.

After that I had read all 4 HP books at least three times each, seen the 1st HP movie about 4, 5 times. Have talked about HP things with other fans etc.

So, I knew pretty much also about 2nd film happenings before the film - from the book. And so, I couldn't help myself from comparing the film with what I imagined, when reading the book. And, unfortunatley, there were quite many things that I wanted to see different in the film. Also, there were no more those feelings, that I (and jeaniesing) mentioned. In fact, I had lost them some time ago already.

In addition, I don't like, how Radcliffe is playing his role. In the second movie I liked Ron, Lucius and Dobby - the best actors ;)

And thanks for MIDI address http://digilander.libero.it/emmabrander/down.htm :)
They were really good! And, as I understand - taken from http://musicbyjohnwilliams.free.fr
Can anyone suggest another site with HP MIDIs?
Thanks!
