Last month i've started to join with ringtone company for making a MIDI Karaoke.

They give me about $4 each for the MIDI

It's to cheap or not???

How much the standard fee for sequencing MIDI?

Thanks..

In the HitTrax Database, they are selling MIDI files for 10$ US each.

That's the charge to the customer, he means the amount they paid him for each sequenced file he made.

My apologies. I do not know how much they are willing to submit for a song.

Hi ScarbbyMIDI,

There is no standard fee for midi programming. So the price that is being paid depends on what the programmer and the ringtone company agreed. For a midifile, 4$ is way too low. For a ringtone, it is still cheap.

It also depends on your capabilities of converting the midi songs to 4 tone, 16 tone midi ringtones and 16 and 40 tone SMAF ringtones. And of coarse on the quality of midi programming you deliver.
F.I. do you insert the MIP sysex messages yourself, or has the ringtone company to do this. Do you provide audio demos of the RT's, or has the company to produce them ? Is your work exclusive for that company or not ?

It's obvious prices will depend on all these factors.

Kind regards,
Alain
