how to save the "channel"?

hi!
As I sequence my midi songs I would like to save the specific channel (?). I want that the midi sounds like I composed it meaning that afterwards the same instruments sounds like I picked during my session?
Do I make any sense?

You need to include the patch number at the beginning of the track. Then, after you have saved it and re-opened the file, when you hit play, the first thing that will happen is the patch information will be sent to whatever you use to produce the sounds.

Check your sequencer documentation for the best way to do this.
