Teachers? Anyone use karaoke at school?

I'm a music teacher, and use my VanBasco karaoke player at school as a way of encouraging whole classes to sing.

Does anyone else do anything similar?

hi,
i teach individual students. i use midi files or backing tracks to teach. i have a keyboard (casio) which plays the files beautifully, and use cakewalk to work on a song in depth with my students. most of whom are schoolkids, who come to me for private lessons. i have started another thread re teaching singing. maybe you would like to look at it and reply?
