Doing some research on what colours people associate with keys, when they play them on an instrument. I find sharp keys are bright colours and some flat keys are more sombre. Won't say which colours as do not want to influence anybody. Comments invited. Not found any websites yet which mention this.

Thanks

John Rowley

On a piano, C major follows the colours of the rainbow in order from red, orange, yellow to green, darker green, blue, and purple!
And D minor reminds me of pirates so I just see the colors of the piano keys, being they're black and white. Hopefull :ah:
And the E flat key is an olive color. Errr...yes! :stick:

oooohhhh colored keys...reminds me of my childhood.....the red one seemed so juicy and the green was quite appetizing while the orange key was a bit bitter but...oopss *notices title of thread*…:laugh2: :o :o

my bad, thought it was the colored key ring teether..:laugh2:

i've always felt that tones on the high end of an octave are brighter and as the tones get lower the color shade grows darker as well

There are only seven letters in music notation Zel so what's with the scrabble?
Some good replies folks, keep them coming, it is very beneficial for me.
Thanks everyone.

If I play my guitar with sharp brass yellow keys, they cut the strings up too much so I use a white pick. :)
