Equipment for recording drums

I was looking to know if any body could give me some idea of what gear you need for recording a live kit onto sonar with 1 track / drum?

With only 1 track... it really depends on the quality you're looking for. if you don't mind the sound being really cheezy just use 1 mic just far enough from the drum so you can hear every piece at about the same level... if you want good sound quality, you'll need a couple of mics, I'd say 1 for snare, bass drum, about 1 for every 2 toms that are close together 1 or 2 overheads for cymbals and depth. mic preamps if you can afford them and most importantly a mixer to combine all your mics into 1 track going in you soundcard's line-in.
