Question about .kar files..

Okay I've downloaded a few .kar files, and when I play them they sound like midis.. I'm just trying to find karaoke music without any intrument playing where the vocals should be. Am I at the wrong place?

Hi xkelsi,

If you don't want to hear the vocal lines (as instruments), it would be a good idea to mute the vocal tracks, wouldn't it ?

you can safely read any kar file on a pc !

what you have to do is only install a karaoke player on your pc (to let you listen music and display lyrics)

In my player, there's a special feature which tries to detect the lead melody automatically. It's not perfect. But it works quite well for me :-) You can try it on www.folksfun.com
