You moderates out there cant be completely in the middle, you have to be leaning to one side.

Maybe a more interesting question would be "Where do you lie on the Political Compass (http://www.politicalcompass.org/)"? Left or Right is such an outmoded way of looking at politics. Not intending to rain on your parade, Trailrider. :)

We differ more than I would have expected... my idealism landed me over with Nelson Mandela and The Dalai Lama where you landed closest to the Pope!!..........

Well, I retook varying my answers slightly but staying true to what feels right and got slightly different results: Economic: -0.38 Social: -4.41
Not hugely different. As for that Pope thing.... :confused2
Oh, no no. I am in the unpopulated quadrant. Figures. ;)

I'm always a little surprised how my answers (and thus attitudes) change at different times. I was prepared for that when I first took this, but not really for the degree to which the results vary. It seems like the quadrants could use names... rather than Libertarian-Left or Authoritarian-Right. Anyone have any ideas? :)

Or common names would do, in a pinch. ;)
