How do I take out effects

In midis that I find on the internet?
My band uses sampling live, we add a click track, pan that right, then pan everything else left. Problem is, anything with reverb bleeds over to the side it's not panned to.

Hi jookieboy,

You need to set the effect controller CC 91 (and also CC93, because chorus is also a stereo effect) to 0. Do this for every track in the midifile. If you can't find controller 91 on one or more tracks, you'll have to add it in the beginning of the track(s), because the GM, GS or XG reset will set CC 91 to an initial value of 40.
