Ive always heard no question is a dumb question, so here goes. Im new to this technology. I just bought the mbox, with pro tools and setup on my computer. It seems to be working fine. My problem is, Ive downloaded hittrax midi files to manipulate, but protools says it cant read the files(windows media). What am I doing wrong.
Thanks

Never used pro tools but there should be an 'import midi' selection somewhere.

just for the record, the mbox doesn't do midi. you'd need the Digi 002 or Digi 002 Rack for that. Protools itself comes from an audio editing background. I'd suggest you look into a midi sequencer if you're interested in doing midi work; it's an easier introduction into things.
