HI all, firstly I hope I am in the right place for this question.
I have bought my daughter a midi keyboard to connect to her Pc.
I have bought the midi lead and have it all connected OK.
I am now looking for a simple midi program for her to use, it has to be something really simple as I am useless at it (but OK with computers in general).
She is only 8 so cakewalk and cubase etc are out of the question at this stage. I was hoping for some very basic software just to get her interested.
Thanks for any help.

Hiya Dad :).... You can call me "Jeanie" or "Music Teacher" or "Mom-to-be" ;)...

I have an old piece of software called "Music Time" by Passport that I have found to be very young'un friendly. The interface opens to a piece of piano sheet music blank... when your baby chooses to record the notes appear nearly as she plays them.

I haven't seen the software on the market in a while but did notice a few places where you might download a TRIAL :smart: copy... I hesitate to link you as suddenlt the amount of porn I've had to view in my lifetime has quadrupled :ah:... but poke around and try it for yourself if you;d like ;)! I'll get back with a few other names as well... more games than sequencing software!

Hi Dad! ;)

I did a little looking around for you and this is the closest thing I could find aside from what jeanie suggested:
http://www.voyetra.com/site/products/skits/usbmsk.asp

It looks like it's reasonbly easy to use, but I haven't actually tried it so I don't know.
It also has the cables and instructions that you'll need to proberly connect your keyboard to the computer. :)
