Cropping Midi?

I was told this was the right board, but I had the midi file, I can not figure out how to crop part of the sequence, there is a 3-4 second silence at the beginning I would prefer to get rid of.

you need a midi sequencer program to alter a midi file. it will allow you to change the data in the file, including eliminating the blank stuff at the start.

I don't understand your question. Why can't you cut it out?

it's not like a .wav file. a .mid will have all the notes required by every instument playing in a song. you will need to use an editor (i would use noteworthy composer) and manually remove all the notes (in your case "rests") from each instrument.
