Im just curious how you add lyrics to a midi file and then play them on a midi capable piano.

You can put lyrics into the midi file info, but there is no way to have them played back or displayed while the song is playing. (inless there's some kind of midi text reader I don't know about)

To hook the keyboard up to the computer either get a MIDI cable that hooks up to your game port or hook up MIDI wires to your midi I/O's on your sound card. (Most of the soundblaster live cards have seperate I/O's)
