It's going to be about Music Copyright Piracy on the internet. History, current issues, new laws, etc.

Before 2 weeks ago, I hadn't bought a cd in about 2 years. Until Ludacris Chicken and Beer came out, of course. But really i dont see any point in buying if u can get it free. I mean, most artists are set for life anyways. They dont need the extra money. what are they gonna do with it. buy a new ferrari?

I think that downloading music would help artists. In the past couple of months, I have bought three CDs because I liked a file I downloaded. If I have never heard an artist, I'm not going to buy the CD unless I know I like them.

watch out on kazaa, a company called big champagne has been launched that tracks EVERY download, they know what has been downloaded right down to the postcode. And I know it works, I have seen it working!

kazaa lite is the way to go. I download my music because its a lot easier than going to the store and buying a cd with one or two good songs on it. artists should start producing better stuff before they complain about filesharing. Filesharing allows you to not get screwed paying 20 bucks for a crappy cd.

I never use Kazaa, or any other of those programs...
The program itself isn't illegal, as you might know, but too many people use it in a illegal way...
Example 1:
You find a cd in a music shop, and put in your pocket. You walk out of the shop, with the cd in your pocket, while thinking: "Why buy it, if I can get it for free?"...this is called stealing, and is illegal, right?
Example 2:
You're downloading illegal music files to your computer, and are thinking: "Why buy it, if I can get it for free?"...but this isn't stealing?? this isn't illegal?? I cant see much difference between those two situations, but maybe thats just me...
But if they shut down Kazaa, people will just use another program...
And maybe I understand, that some people want to listen to the music, before they buy it...
But think...what did people do, back in those days, when there were no Kazaa?
