Default Best Spyware Program

Which do you think is better for catching spyware, SPYBOT SD or AD-AWARE. I currently use Spybot.

Just use spyware blaster and it stops the spyware getting onto your computer so no more need for them programs.

I actually use spybot and ad-aware. Whatever one program doesn't get the other does get. It's the both of best worlds. And since they are both free then it doesn't hurt to download them and use em.

It's funny you should say that, because after the second reply for Ad Aware I put it on. They work great together. Anyone try all three mentioned in this thread?

I don't really like that spyware blaster program. My mom's computer had and it didn't stop spyware from getting on there. It was just junk.

Spybot and SpywareBlaster. Ad-aware always seems to freeze up on me.

I have not ever had any problems with spyware, I just watch what I download and install, sometimes programs have alternavtives that do not have spyware istalled like Kazaa-Lite K++ (k-lit.com) as an alternative to the ad supported KaZaA from www.kazaa.com.

Ad-aware was the first spyware program that I ever used. Out of curiousity I downloaded Spybot and it was able to find stuff that Ad-aware (with all the most recent updates) couldn't. I uninstalled Ad-aware and kept Spybot, but I suppose you could use both for safe measure.

I was just the opposite. I had Spybot and thought it did a great job. I put on Ad aware and it found stuff that Spybot didn't. So now I have both. It's a little time consuming, but I just can't stand spyware.

Spybot S&D is good. Adaware seemed to have a problem fairly recently in the last 12 months and was not getting good press, can anyone confirm that and if Spybot owns Adaware, I still think they are separate companies.

Spybot and Adaware are from two different companies. I'd like to hear more about the bad press about Adaware though. I've never had a bad thing to say about them. It's always interesting to hear other opinions, even if you don't necessarily agree with them.
