Post Good piano songs to begin with??

Hi...!

I just started playing piano, but right now, I can't seem to find any songs that sounds good, but aren't too difficult to play...

So what I'm asking for, is good piano songs, that can be played by a beginner, but still aren't too easy, as I'd like some challenge...

Any suggestions??

(If this is the wrong forum to post this, please tell me which one is the right one... I looked, but I couldn't seem to find a forum where this question fitted in, so I tried this one...)

I don't think you get it...

I'm asking for suggestions on which songs to play...

I'm not suggesting anything...

He's just trying to get his posts up...

I recommend looking for a beginner's piano book at a store. They have all sorts of books and such, including easy movie themes that you may enjoy.

Star Wars is a pretty easy one

When I started the basics it was with movie music. You'll see that a lot of them, mainly John Williams, you can learn quite quickly.

, I wonder how you make a fruit loop on a piano...

In other words, I don't think you understand the topic... else, you're just another spammer...

Thanks, I really like your ideas, keep 'em coming

J.S. Bach's Two-part Inventions are beautiful to hear and not terribly hard to play. Beethoven's Für Elise is lovely and not too hard (though overplayed by electronic devices ). Also, Bela Bartok's Mikrokosmos is good for practicing and is not too hard to play.

Chopin has some really easy 16/32 bar waltzes. Mozart has some easy piano music too. Also, shostakovich has a book of children's music out - quite fun!

yeah i had the same problem, i only started playing a few weeks ago and i the first song i learned was to zanarkand from final fantasy 10, i cant actually read sheet music that well but when i get bored of playing songs that sound crap and arent fun to play i would just practice and spend time memorizing a harder but better sounding song, it doesnt help with sheet music reading but the practice makes playing more complex songs easier. am i making sense?

There a one man band called Vast. The guy is a prodigy and has some interesting piano lines on several songs. I reccomend "Don't take your love away from me" by vast. kazaa should have the song.

some of the BEN FOLDS FIVE stuff...etc...but you have to have someone singing too in order for them to sound good

but most of the transcriptions you can find online are quite easy, but not super easy. in fact, for drama class, everyone had to sing a song for the musical theatre unit and i played and sang brick by ben folds five...

haha just kidding, that was a pretty stupid reply.

Have you heard clubbed to death by rob d? It has a nice piano part that's pretty easy to learn. The very beginning is a copy of uh....enigma variations, but the piano solo in the middle is his own I believe.

If you'd like to learn a pop song, try I Hope You Dance. It's very easy and still sounds nice on the piano. I know it comes in easy single sheet for piano. Good luck.

You can try Mad World by Gary Jules. It's a really simple song but it sounds great.
